Romans 8:1 NKJV Free from Indwelling Sin
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, *who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.*

It is like a double negative…not even one…not anyone…absolutely no
The passage between the two astericks was added by the textus receptus when they translated King James. It was NOT THERE…and is not there in the original GREEK text.

to judge against, i.e. sentence: KJV - condemn, damn.
Therefore: NO ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT allotted to the one who is IN CHRIST with NO conditions on it ! Seems the translators could not believe the words of Paul. Could GOD really be that good ? Yes, He is. Does it mean we should go out and sin…NO.
Can GOD require another death from Christ for sins ? NO, it was finished. HE WAS ALREADY PUNISHED for our sins. We have to walk by FAITH, not by sight…so we have to BELIEVE it is true if we are IN CHRIST. If any man be IN CHRIST, behold all things are become NEW.
2 Cor 5:5-10 NKJV Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
9 The Judgment Seat of Christ - Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

God promises to do this for us by His redemptive work of the cross. HE IS THE COVERING – the ATONEMENT for our sins. His work annulled our punishment for ALL the sins we commit. We are FREE by the blood of the LAMB. We are NOT free so we can SIN more abundantly. We are not to trample on the grace given us. But when we stumble along in our journey to wholeness, we are not condemned if we sin on the way to perfection. WE ARE FREE from the law of sin and death !
