MEDUSA - A DESTROYER IN THE CHURCH
First I'm going to share notes from other sites on the myth we know as Medusa. Then will share what God told me.
Medusa – Destroyer goddess of false wisdom, misandry, bitterness. Manifests in women who have been raped/abused as a child, or young woman.

This week, I had a vision of medusa, and had forgotten her name, just remembered the snake head thing. And the Lord said to me, that this entity is responsible for a lot of the confusion in the body of Christ. He wanted me to look up the background of this so I’m sharing it because you will see that in the “myth” about her, she is raped by Zeus in the temple of Athena, she was human but becomes a gargon. Supposedly Athena turns her tresses to SNAKESl Very symbolic of the mind being polluted by defensive pride and every horrible demon of rejection and rebellion that comes with abuse.
History of the snake headed goddess - author of confusion and destruction.
“Medusa the Gorgon. Medusa, along with her sisters, Stheno and Euryale, were the daughters of the sea Titans Porcys and Ceto. Medusa was the youngest and most beautiful (she was also the only mortal one of the three). Once said to have been extremely wise they all served as priestesses to the virgin goddess of wisdom, Athena. However, the Seagod Poseidon (Neptune) desperately desired Medusa. In a moment of raw passion he raped Medusa inside of Athena's temple of worship. Perhaps in anger, the three sisters became petty and vindictive toward men.
Appalled either by the sisters' pettiness, or by the sacrilegious sexual act, Athena transformed Medusa and her sisters (all of whom were now wicked) into hideous beasts with scaly skin, dragon's wings and hair formed of dozens of coiling snakes. As a result, all who beheld the Gorgons were instantly turned to stone when their eyes met.”
“Medusa and her sisters became even more vicious and took great pleasure in torturing their victims until the day when Perseus, guided and gifted by the Gods, slew Medusa. He used her head to slay the Sea-dragon Cetus then gave the head to Athena who mounted it onto a breastplate (or shield) called the AEgis. Upon her death, the seeds of the union of Poseidon & Medusa germinated into the young colt named Pegasus and the giant (or another winged horse) named Chrysoar, who sprang forth when the blood of Medusa made contact with the seafoam. Perseus married the princess Andromeda and they had a daughter whom they called Gorgophone (named for the slain gorgon). “
“Medusa was also identified with the Libyan Queen and serpent-goddess of wisdom of the Amazons. Her name is derived from the Sanskrit medha, Greek metis, and Egyptian met or maat all meaning ‘wisdom.’ “
Medha – Indian goddess of intellect and wealth
METIS (Mêtis). The personification of prudence, is described as a daughter of Oceanus and Thetys. At the instigation of Zeus, she gave to Cronos a vomitive, whereupon he brought back his children whom he had devoured (Apollod. I. 2. § 1, &c.; Hes. Theog. 471). She was the first love and wife of Zeus, from whom she had at first endeavoured to withdraw by metamorphosing herself in various ways. She prophesied to him that she would give birth first to a girl and afterwards to a boy, to whom the rule of the world was destined by fate. For this reason Zeus devoured her, when she was pregnant with Athena, and afterwards he himself gave birth to a daughter, who issued from his head (Apollod. I. 3. § 6; Hes. Theog. 886). Plato (Sympos. P. 203, b.) speaks of Porus as a son of Metis, and according to Hesiod, Zeus devoured Metis on the advice of Uranus and Ge, who also revealed to him the destiny of his son.

Metis
“Metis was the Titaness of the forth day and the planet Mercury. She presided over all wisdom and knowledge. She was seduced by Zeus and became pregnant with Athena. Zeus became concerned over prophecies that her second child would replace Zeus. To avoid this Zeus ate her. It is said that she is the source for Zeus wisdom and that she still advises Zeus from his belly. It may seem odd for Metis to have been pregnant with Athena [but, never mentioned as her mother. This is because the classic Greeks believed that children were generated solely from the fathers sperm. The women was thought to be nothing more than a vessel for the fetus to grow in. Since Metis was killed well before Athena's birth her role doesn't count.”
Amazons
Greek name for Goddess worshipping tribes in north Africa, Anatolia, and the Black Sea area. Suetonius said, "Amazons once ruled over a large part of Asia." As late as the 5th century A.D., the Black Sea was still known as the Amazon Sea. Libya which used to mean all of North Africa except Egypt was also Amazonian. Herodotus spoke of Libyan Amazons. Diodorus, first century Greek historian, called them "the warlike women of Libya.
The ancients said Amazons were the first to tame horses, which may well account for their armies' legendary invincibility. In open country, mounted troops whether male or female would have a decided advantage over foot soldiers.
Greek myth says Amazon tribes occupied Cappadocia, Samonthrace, and Lesbos, and founded the cities of Smyrna, Ephesus, Cymes, Myrine, and Paphos, all leading centers of Goddess worship. amazons came to the aid of matriarchal Troy in the Trojan War. The Amazon Queen Penthesileia fell beneath the sword of Achilles.”
Medusa
Classic myth made Medusa the terrible Gorgon whose look turned men to stone. the Argives said Medusa was a Libyan queen beheaded by their ancestral heir Perseus, who brought her head (or ceremonial mask) back to Athens. Actually, Medusa was the serpent goddess of the Libyan Amazons, representing "female wisdom." She was the Destroyer aspect of the Triple Goddess called Neith in Egypt, Ath-enna or Athene in North Africa. Her inscription at Sais called her "mother of all the gods, whom she bore before childbirth existed." She was the past, present, and future: "All that has been, that is, and that will be." So famous was this description of her that Christians later copied it on behalf of Jehovah (Revelation 1:8).

“Maat, Ma'at, Maāt or Mayet, thought to have been pronounced as *Muat (Muh-aht),[1] was the Ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, law, morality, and justice. Maat was also personified as a goddess regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and the deities, who set the order of the universe from chaos at the moment of creation.”

“The earliest surviving records indicating Maat is the norm for nature and society, in this world and the next, is recorded during the Old Kingdom in pyramid texts (ca. 2780-2250 BCE).[2] Later, as a goddess in other traditions of the Egyptian pantheon, where most goddesses were paired with a male aspect, her masculine counterpart was Thoth and their attributes are the same. After the rise of Ra they were depicted together in the Solar Barque. As Thoth has been seen to represent the Logos of Plato[3], so Maat has been viewed as an expression of Divine Wisdom.[4]”
“After her role in creation and continuously preventing the universe from returning to chaos, her primary role in Egyptian mythology dealt with the weighing of souls that took place in the underworld, Duat.[5] Her feather was the measure that determined whether the souls (considered to reside in the heart) of the departed would reach the paradise of afterlife successfully. Pharaohs are often depicted with the emblems of Maat to emphasise their role in upholding the laws of the Creator.[6] “

“Maat as a principle was formed to meet the complex
needs of the emergent Egyptian state that embraced
diverse peoples with conflicting interests.

sought to avert chaos & it became the basis of
Egyptian law.
From an early period the King would describe himself as the "Lord of Maat" who decreed with his mouth the Maat he conceived in his heart.”
“The significance of Maat developed to the point that it embraced all aspects of existence, including the basic equilibrium of the universe, the relationship between constituent parts, the cycle of the seasons, heavenly movements, religious observations and fair dealings, honesty and truthfulness in social interactions.[7]”
“The Ancient Egyptians had a deep conviction of an underlying holiness and unity within the universe. Cosmic harmony was achieved by correct public and ritual life. Any disturbance in cosmic harmony could have consequences for the individual as well as the state. An impious King could bring about famine or blasphemy blindness to an individual.[8] In opposition to the right order expressed in the concept of Maat is the concept of Isfet: chaos, lies and violence.[9]”
“In addition to the importance of the Maat, several other principles within Ancient Egyptian law were essential, including an adherence to tradition as opposed to change, the importance of rhetorical skill, and the significance of achieving impartiality, and social justice. In one Middle Kingdom (2062 to c. 1664 BCE) text the Creator declares "I made every man like his fellow". Maat called the rich to help the less fortunate rather than exploit them, echoed in tomb declarations: "I have given bread to the hungry & clothed the naked" & "I was a husband to the widow & father to the orphan".

“To the Egyptian mind, Maat bound all things together in an indestructible unity: the universe, the natural world, the state, and the individual were all seen as parts of the wider order generated by Maat.”
“The underlying concepts of Taoism and Confucianism resemble Maat at times.[11] Many of these concepts were codified into laws, and many of the concepts often were discussed by ancient Egyptian philosophers and officials who referred to the spiritual text known as the Book of the Dead.”
Maat and the law
“There is little surviving literature that describes the practice of ancient Egyptian law. Maat was the spirit in which justice was applied rather than a detailed legalistic exposition of rules as in Jewish law. Maat was the norm and basic values that formed the backdrop for the application of justice that had to be carried out in the spirit of truth and fairness. From the 5th dynasty (c. 2510-2370 BCE) onwards the Vizier responsible for justice was called the Priest of Maat and in later periods judges wore images of Maat.[12]”
“Later scholars and philosophers also would embody concepts from the wisdom literature, or Sebayt.[13] These spiritual texts dealt with common social or professional situations and how each was best to be resolved or addressed in the spirit of Maat. It was very practical advice, and highly case-based, so that few specific and general rules could be derived from them.
During the Greek period in Egyptian history, Greek law existed alongside Egyptian law. The Egyptian law preserved the rights of women who were allowed to act independently of men and own substantial personal property and in time this influenced the more restrictive conventions of the Greeks and Romans.[14] When the Romans took control of Egypt, the Roman legal system which existed throughout the Roman empire was imposed in Egypt.”
Maat as a goddess
“Maat was the goddess of harmony, order, and truth represented as a young woman,[21] sitting or standing, holding a was scepter, the symbol of power, in one hand and an ankh, the symbol of eternal life, in the other. Sometimes she is depicted with wings on each arm or as a woman with an ostrich feather on her head.[22] Depictions of Maat as a goddess are recorded from as early as the middle of the Old Kingdom (c. 2680 to 2190 BCE).[23]
The sun-god Ra came from the primaeval mound of creation only after he set his daughter Maat in place of Isfet (chaos). Kings inherited the duty to ensure Maat remained in place and they with Ra are said to "live on Maat", with Akhenaten (r. 1372-1355 BCE) in particular emphasising the concept. Some of them incorporated Maat into their names, being referred to as Lords of Maat,[24] or Meri-Maat (Beloved of Maat). When beliefs about Thoth arose in the Egyptian pantheon and started to consume the earlier beliefs at Hermopolis about the Ogdoad, it was said that she was the mother of the Ogdoad and Thoth the father.”
“In the Duat, the Egyptian underworld, the hearts of the dead were said to be weighed against her single Shu feather, symbolically representing the concept of Maat, in the Hall of Two Truths. A heart which was unworthy was devoured by the goddess Ammit and its owner condemned to remain in the Duat. The heart was considered the location of the soul by ancient Egyptians. Those people with good and pure hearts were sent on to Aaru. Osiris came to be seen as the guardian of the gates of Aaru after he became part of the Egyptian pantheon and displaced Anubis in the Ogdoad tradition.”
“The weighing of the heart, pictured on papyrus in the Book of the Dead typically, or in tomb scenes, shows Anubis overseeing the weighing and the lioness Ammit seated awaiting the results so she could consume those who failed. The image would be the vertical heart on one flat surface of the balance scale and the vertical Shu-feather standing on the other balance scale surface. Other traditions hold that Anubis brought the soul before the posthumous Osiris who performed the weighing.”

Medusa in Greek Mythology
[ conflicts with first story in some things]

“Medusa, originally a beautiful young woman whose crowning glory was her magnificent long hair, was desired and courted by many suitors. Yet before she could be betrothed to a husband, Poseidon (Neptune) found her worshipping in the temple of Athena (Minerva) and ravished her. Athena was outraged at her sacred temple being violated, and punished Medusa by turning her beautiful tresses into snakes and giving her the destructive power to turn anyone who looked directly at her into stone. “…
Historically, before ancient Greece, Medusa was worshipped by the Libyan Amazons as a Serpent -Goddess, and associated with the destroyer aspect Anath (also known as Athene) of the Triple Goddess in North Africa and Crete. The name Medusa (Medha in Sanscrit, Metis in Greek and Maat in Egyptian) means "sovereign female wisdom." This online Medusa paper discusses the Libyan and Near Eastern conceptions of Medusa. “
Some scholars believe that the Greek and Roman Medusa myth, as told by Ovid, expresses the vanquishing of the great goddess religions as the male gods Zeus/Jupiter and Poseidon/Neptune gained power. Others view it as expressive of the subjugation of women's bodies and enslavement of their spirit by a violent and oppressive male-oriented culture, which viewed Medusa's life-giving, creative, primal energy as threatening.”
[ So much for the women’s movement being a new thing in the 20th century!]
“.... Perseus went to a lot of trouble to kill a woman and rob her of her terror. But was all necessary before he could look upon the nude and bejeweled body of a woman and carry off his own mother....Now she and her son can travel together where they will." [ a bit twisted ]
“Apart from the Medusa story focused Poseidon's rape, other versions of Medusa legends exist. Consider this brief statement byApollonius: [1:161] "But it is alleged by some that Medusa was beheaded for Athena's sake; and they say that the Gorgon was fain to match herself with the goddess even in beauty." This same version is echoed by Bullfinch: "She was once a beautiful maiden whose hair was her chief glory but as she dared to vie in beauty with Minerva (Athena), the goddess deprived her of her charms and changed her beautiful ringlets into hissing serpents."
Finally, two very different pictures of Medusa and her fate were portrayed by Pausanian in his Description of Greece:
[2.21.5] "In the market-place of Argos is a mound of earth, in which they say lies the head of the Gorgon Medusa.... After the death of her father, Phorcus, she reigned over those living around Lake Tritonis, going out hunting and leading the Libyans to battle. On one such occasion, when she was encamped with an army over against the forces of Perseus, who was followed by picked troops from the Peloponnesus, she was assassinated by night. Perseus, admiring her beauty even in death, cut off her head and carried it to show the Greeks.
[2.21.6] But Procles, the son of Eucrates, a Carthaginian, thought a different account more plausible than the preceding. It is as follows. Among the incredible monsters to be found in the Libyan desert are wild men and wild women. Procles affirmed that he had seen a man from them who had been brought to Rome. So he guessed that a woman wandered from them, reached Lake Tritonis, and harried the neighbours until Perseus killed her; Athena was supposed to have helped him in this exploit, because the people who live around Lake Tritonis are sacred to her."
So all this traces the queen of heaven entity way back to the Egyptians and Egypt spread her venomous doctrines of demons all over the WORLD. So we have the ancient conflict traced back aways.
But back to medusa and the effects of RAPE – bitterness, which was the point GOD was seemingly trying to point out to me as the cause of much confusion in HIS people. There is entirely too much mixture in the church now, & some of this is due to lack of deliverance from generational sins. To be free of generational spirits, you must CONFESS the sins of the fathers/mothers to God and appropriate the freedom of the CROSS.

Praying Medic has an amazing talk on how to heal those with brokeness that includes fragments of their souls, alters. He makes it very easy to understand.
JESUS took care of the generational sins, but in order to be free of it all we must confess the sins, & then ask for deliverance. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t even know my whole story till I was in my 40’s because of the family keeping secrets!
But from listening to Praying medic, there is so much HOPE for those who have been abused in the way God showed him to bring healing.
Freemasonic Idolatry & prejudice were in my family. Incestual perversion & witchcraft was in my family & stepfather’s family. These are not things people used to talk about in days past, but rather SHAME made them to hide them.
Amanda Buys, I cannot talk about enough as she has posted free downloads of so much of her material & made it available to everyone for renouncements from ancient sins & generational junk. If you want freedom, there is some work to do. Not all of us are delivered at once like Paul of Tarsus. God is gentler often with women to gradually uncover, like taking one onion peel piece at a time. Finding out all at once would have probably devastated me. I had to come to a place of greater faith & trust in HIM, & HIS ability before HE completely allowed me to know all the truth.
Still HE SAID this entity is responsible for much of the confusion on HIS PEOPLE. That means HE is really serious about removing it & wants us more knowledgeable. The Word says “MY people perish for lack of knowledge” and in another place, for lack of VISION.
So God is not like waving some magic wand when you come to JESUS, that magically takes all the bad away without us doing some of the needed steps to freedom. Now for some it seems so. Much damage has been done in the body for leading people to expect that one 3 min – 5 min prayer at the altar is a cure for everything ! GOD IS MIGHTY. But there is PROCESS for much of what we need freedom from. Now when Holy Spirit comes in power, HE definitely, like Jesus did on earth, will remove the demon and the feelings, and the associate demons at once when we are LED BY THE SPIRIT in what is the root in people of their afflictions & torments.
I’m looking forward to the impending judgment on the kingdom of darkness that is coming with poured out GLORY ! I’m looking forward in anticipation of this. But it took 20+ years for me and I know there are still some roots there that need excising. So don’t give up. Don’t let go of the INTIMACY which brings FREEDOM. HIS LOVE will heal homosexuality, will heal the bitterness and devastation, anger, rage, hatred, self destruction, abuse and devastation that has followed many of us who’ve been severely abused if we will more fully TRUST HIM and let go of our control, behind which is pride and fears.
The Lord once told me that murder was the highest form of witchcraft, so think of that in terms of a young child raped by an adult. What does that do? Forgiveness can ONLY COME through JESUS healing those wounds so that we can completely let go of any anger, rage and hatred from the abuse. GOD’s goodness will triumph over ALL INJUSTICE, from the beginning of time till all the tomorrows, HE IS LORD! There are steps to healing that help us to forgive…and to loose the demonic holds on our minds.
The snakes in Medusa’s head represent demonic strongholds over our mind and we know the battle is there in our mind. He torments our mind to stir our EMOTIONS. A lot of people don’t know that we don’t have to GIVE IN to our emotions. Just because you have an emotion rise up in you, doesn’t mean you have to give in to it !
Depression is a great example because it’s so common and recognizable.
I remember early on after becoming a Christian in my late 30’s, a day when I woke up “feeling depressed” and because I had read to PUT ON THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS” IN THE WORD OF GOD, I went into the living room and turned on my favorite song, Steve Camp’s “He’s all you need”. The jacket to the tape was sitting on the speaker in the living room. I sat on the floor and began playing the tape and singing, and suddenly something invisible made the jacket fly off the speaker. I was NOT NEAR IT ! That revealed the demon behind the depression! So I LAUGHED! I knew that he was angry because I was singing to GOD vs giving in to him. So since I suffered from the torment of this spirit so much in my life, I also began to WORSHIP A LOT of the day whenever I could.
I’d take the boombox into the laundry room in the apts….to do my laundry and sing to the Lord while I worked, while I cleaned, while I made dinner for the children and John. Whenever I could I was praising GOD. At some point I read a book by Merlin Carothers, called “Bringing Heaven into HELL” and one example in there testified of the power of the tongue in praise, over demonic influences and so I began to not only do it in singing, but trying to answer with praise many of the things I used to defend myself in conversation with.
I’m not saying I always was perfect in doing it. But the principles for a foundation of PRAISE vs complaining and moaning were being laid by the LORD in my heart. We gradually improve with practice. And we may go through times of forgetting such principles, but GOD will always bring us back to the foundations if we do forget !
When the Toronto revival came, I got more healing than even in the years my surrogate mom came week to week to my house, praying with me, asking the Holy Spirit to heal whatever HE wanted to bring up in me…so I could forgive.
In the PRESENCE of GOD, either way I was in His presence through prayer,
Or through worship or in the body of Christ in revival worship…HIS PRESENCE was the healing Source I needed to clean out the garbage in my heart. For every wound there was unbelief hiding behind it, rejection and rebellion. Thus the snakes on the head of Medusa represent all those strongholds that contort our minds.
I had a lot of confusion because of the affiliation with the idolatrous practices of FREEMASONRY in those who abused me, my family, etc… Freemasons are the modern day DRUIDS. So I had been MPD, or DID.
Dissociative Identity Disorder [ Multiple personalities ]
I remember once writing back a cousin I hadn’t seen in years, and I couldn’t figure out why he didn’t respond to me. Then I went back and looked at the letter I wrote, and it was like a totally different person wrote it ! I was shocked at what I saw. So I realized, no wonder he hadn’t written me back.
The spirits on him had provoked those in me, and I apparently in my inner little girl self, felt threatened, so out came things that I wouldn’t have wished to say in my normal personality. It is a frightening thing to realize that you have been controlled by an entity other than your own mind, or GOD.
It wasn’t till several years ago now, that I met a man through someone on my list who confronted the Masonic demon entities still tormenting me and hiding
Deep inside and was able to deliver me. This is the saddest thing, when the church doesn’t know how to heal you, or has to send you off far away at a great inconvenience for you to get the healing you need. It’s hard to feel the fear & rejection behind those in leadership in the church who don’t want to bother with people who are so greatly demonized. I’ve felt it myself, even though I went through it. Because there is a cost to battling and carrying other people’s burdens.
What I mean by that, I’ll give an example. Intercessors stand between demons and their victims. They bear the burden meaning carrying the warfare for that person, helping pray against and acting against it’s influence. For example, I once got a package from a friend and I suddenly was so angry. I didn’t want to nor did I have time to read all the stuff she sent me. I had my own assignments. But the anger I felt was WAY out of proportion to my true feelings and I asked the LORD, “Why am I reacting in this manner? Why am I so angry ?” and He said “ because that is how she is feeling!” Simple and straightforward answer. So with the package came a spirit into the house that was causing me to react in like manner as what she was feeling. It was so intense, vitriolic, I recognized it as not my own. But sometimes we are slow to figure it out. We tend to think it’s just us.
I know many of you on my list are sensitive in this way as intercessors, and carry burdens for others. It’s not always easy. There are times we go through things, but we are more protected, the more we learn His ways, and get free of demonic strongholds in ourselves. There are times the Lord keeps us hidden from it when HE knows it is too much to bear. But through it all HE is teaching us how to WAR. He is teaching us how to overcome and help others to overcome. You may say, I don’t have that happen to me. Well, maybe you didn’t make yourself available. Maybe God hasn’t chosen you for that. Maybe your role is different. We don’t all FEEL these things. But we need those who do !
I know that when pride is in some, that it blocks the ability to RECEIVE for example. Humility is able to receive. Pride thinks it has to be in control and be THE ONE to minister, or deliver, or pray, or heal and finds it hard to receive.
So when people’s receivers are broken, I know they’ve been deeply hurt. When they cannot receive the prayers, or hugs, or gifts, or help, it may be because defensive pride has broken them, and they don’t yet know how to TRUST GOD
Fully, which means they can’t trust YOU. Maybe they’re afraid of the warfare. Control’s roots are fear + pride. It may be defensive pride which is deeply rooted in us who’ve been sexually abused, or physically abused and neglected. Fears are a “NO DUH” for children abused. Fears are usually the earliest strongholds for children. So much of all the other stuff that comes in comes through the fears that get in our lives early on.
Look at the progression of Saul in the book of Samuel. He was AFRAID of DAVID taking over his kingdom. That fear led to jealousy,à self preservation, à hatred, suspicion & a murderous heart in the end. The twisting serpent got a hold oo him and he was tormented. The tormenting demon was sent by GOD the Word says. It was WORSHIP that David came with that kept it at bay. Demons cannot stand your worship of GOD ! Except some religious demons.
God told me this entity of Medusa is responsible for much confusion in the body. It’s because there is much woundedness unhealed like it says in Jeremiah 6, the priests hadn’t healed the wounds of His people. Bitterness, anger, rejection, and the rage & anger at rejection, and all the unforgiveness with it will lead to confusion. People unhealed will use scripture wrongly, twist what it means to their benefit or thought processes, making GOD who they WANT HIM to be. That’s how ALL FALSE RELIGIONS STARTED. The JW’s and Mormons got their start in the second great awakening when men’s own deceptive revelations were not weighed against the Word of God. Islam started from a visitation of an angel of light, after fasting to Mohammed. He would have his “prophecies” when overcome by an epileptic episode !!! That tells you something doesn’t it ?
We must take seriously the commission to reach out beyond ourselves to others, or the church becomes stagnant and as messed up as it is now. It’s not supposed to be INCLUSIVE ! HEALING is needed. And GOD has promised that the SON will arise with healing in HIS WINGS ! PRAY, PRAY, PRAY that we will be more concerned with really healing and delivering people in the nations, and not just getting them to say yes to an unfelt prayer. Pray all the works of the antichrist in the church will be eradicated by a Holy Spirit move of God that HE has promised. [ Is 60, Zech. 10, Micah 4:6+, etc.]
As Billy Graham once said, the natural outcome of those freed from the grips of the enemy is to want to SHARE that freedom with others ! In order to overcome the fear of man, we must face the fear, and walk through it with Holy Spirit holding our hand, and HE will help us to overcome. Just listen to what He says. It’s not easy to love hurting people. Rejected people will reject others, be untrusting, as unhealed will talk behind your back, stab you in the back, kick you in the face. But we have to keep on taking it to GOD and forgiving. Go on to the next assignment the Lord gives you. Get up and keep going. Tiredness comes when we reach beyond our sphere of what HE is telling us to do, [doing more than is expected] or when we stop being intimate with Him. That time of intimacy with Him will rob and steal and make the load heavier. It also comes from many many battles.
When people leave us, or we have to leave people because they are draining the life out of us, not really wanting to listen, not teachable, or not willing to change, or still blinded in areas we are not, then we need to go on forgiving, get with God and allow HIM to minister to us, so we can keep doing what HE wants. Give them to GOD, because He is big enough to handle it all. His yoke is easy and His burden is LIGHT. It may feel heavy for a time. It was a long time for me before I felt less heavy with the burdens around me. I saw that so much of the church does NOT help carry the burden. They are either too shallow or unhealed to do so. Pastors have a heavy job if they don’t have intercessors helping them and all the other talents of the church being used.
Remember how Jesus chastised the servant who HID HIS TALENT ? That wasn’t just about money. If we hide our lamps under a basket and only go to church for a party while vast numbers are dying without Jesus, then we are hiding our talents too. Use the talent God has given you while you can, before
This persecution starts to get heavy, [ and it will after awakening begins ] because the enemy will be ENRAGED WITH THE WOMAN WHO has given birth to Christ in her and is moving in His power and the Spirit of Might. LOVE will be KEY to insulation. If we harbor ill will towards anyone it will open the doors to the enemy. Forgiveness coming easier is His idea. If your brother forgives you, and insults you again, and again 70 X 7 times, still forgive. I know it may be harder to trust him. I know it’s not easy to forgive. But forgive we must. “LOVE YOUR ENEMIES” Jesus said. It wasn’t a suggestion. If you love those who love you Jesus said, how are you better than the Pharisees ?
Loving the enemies enough to pray for them, and wish the best for them in Christ, and to send love to them is not an easy lesson to learn. It is the whole of life to learn it. We fail again and again, but God told me even if my motivations weren’t perfect yet…to just do it in obedience, and the motivations will catch up with the actions !
2 Peter 1:4-10 AMP
4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.
5 For this very reason, e adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in f exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence),
6 And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety),
7And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.
8 For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [g full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed one).
9 For whoever lacks these qualities is blind, [h spiritually] shortsighted, i seeing only what is near to him, and has become oblivious [to the fact] that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.
Isn’t that awesome ? Doing the right thing will lead to right motivations in the end. Keep hungering for righteousness and you will be filled. Keep practicing the RIGHT THING and it will lead to patient endurance, understanding and eventually love that is genuine.
And in Ephesians He said:
Eph 3:17-20 AMP
17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,
[ in order …] 18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];
19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!
20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—
HIS POWER IN US WORKS ON IT, NOT OUR POWER. OUR COOPERATION IS NECESSARY. OUR WILLINGNESS IS NECESSARY. OUR OBEDIENCE TO GO IN THE WAY HE LEADS IS NECESSARY. BUT IF OUR HEARTS FAIL US LIKE IT SAYS IN 1 John, His heart is greater than our own and will turn us around if we really love Him.
My sheep hear My voice and they follow ME, He said.
