Manifestations of the Holy Spirit

The following is a quote from Hiliary Ephuetes (circa 350 a.d. ) taken from a Toronto Vineyard tape...

"We are inundated with the gifts of the Spirit, that fountain of life which is the river of God, spills over in us. The earth which God has visited has been made drunk. How does one understand these streams of inebriation? We must be convinced that when someone has drunk from the water of the Lord, then streams will flow from the belly of that person. We drink the water of the Lord so the rivers will flow. The Holy Spirit is that river. When we receive the Holy Spirit, we are made drunk, because out of us as a source, streams of grace flow. The prophet prays that the Lord will inebriate us. The prophet wants the same persons to be made drunk and to be filled with all fullness of the Divine gifts so that their generation may be multiplied. The issue is mission. This means the good earth is compared in the gospel simile to the seed of the word, bearing fruit = 30, 60, 100 fold. We who have been reborn through the sacrament of baptism, experience intense joy." [maximum gaudium for those Latin scholars among you.]

"We experience this intense joy when we feel within us the first stirrings of the Holy Spirit. This is something we feel. Among us there is no one who from time to time does not feel the gift of grace of the Spirit. We begin to have insights into the mysteries of the faith. We're able to prophesy, to speak with wisdom. We become steadfast in hope, and receive the gifts of healing, and demons are made subject to our authority. These gifts enter us like a gentle rain. Once having done so, little by little, they bring forth fruit in abundance. When this gentle rain falls, the earth rejoices, but the rains are multiplied so that at first they are but small streams; the streams then become raging waters, so that they become mighty rivers."

Just what does intense joy look like since manifestations are SEEN? What does drunkenness look like? Have you ever seen a drunk or been drunk enough to stumble, to act foolishly. Drunks often act joyous, as if nothing would bother them , overly cheerful, laughing at everything. The author says it is FELT. I think people are often afraid of what looks like feeling anything.

But God is a God of feelings. His name is EL SHADDAI, the mother-father God; many breasted one - representing One of great nurturing and love like a mother. He weeps for us. He wept on earth, not just because He came as a human but because He is compassionate His mercies FAIL NOT. They are new every morning the scriptures say. Unlike us as the church. He is compassionate. Too much of the church has lost their sight of this compassion. We have so-called "Christians" blowing up abortion clinics and killing homosexuals, instead of loving them into the Kingdom like Jesus did. We have Fascists, bigots, freemason satanists, and Neo-nazis posing as Christians. When the gospel in Luke 6 says LOVE YOUR ENEMIES! BE GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE YOU. PRAY FOR THOSE WHO SPITEFULLY USE YOU.

We are known by the intolerance we have for mankind instead of the LOVE we are supposed to manifest as sons of God. Then some wonder why God is mocked. We are full of hypocrisy and dead man's bones, full of pretense and pride, and we wonder at the mockery of Hollywood and the world. The world sees no difference in us than in themselves. We are just as idolatrous, of our things, our wealth, our fame, our positions, our position in God, full of exclusivity and judgmentalism, and we wonder again why God is mocked.

The Father knows why we He is mocked. We wash the outside of the cup, while the inside is dirty. And it stinks in the nostrils of God. This IS exactly why the Holy Spirit has come with power to clean up His church. The world is not fooled. The teenagers in our homes are not fooled by us acting one way in front of others and another at home. They want no part of it. God is making them sick of it so as to call up a generation that will stand for justice and mercy in our righteous seed. Of course there will still be those who don't choose to go the way of the Lord in this generation and ours, just as there are so many in our churches that are in rebellion against God. The church is filled with pretense!

Although many quote Jonathan Edwards as having been against manifestations; Jonathan Edwards- (revivalist in the "Great Awakening" ) 1736-1743

[ dubbed by adversaries" the great clamor"] said,

"The apostolic times seem to have returned upon us. There is such display of the power and grace of the Spirit.

Then he describes what he calls "extraordinary affections"; He names "...fear, sorrow, desire, love and joy, trembling, groans, tears, loud outcries, agonies of the body and the failing of bodily strength. "

In speaking about the outpouring in South hampton, he states, " It was a very frequent thing to see outcries, fainting, convulsions, and such like both with distress and with great joy It was not our manner to hold meetings all night, nor was it common to continue them late at night, but it was pretty often so; that there were some so affected, their bodies so overcome, that they couldn't go home, that they were obliged to stay overnight."

Rick Joyner says "All of this knowledge must be combined with the humility to understand that we cannot know or understand all that can be known or understood about the way God moves. We must remain open for Him to act in ways that we do not understand or have not heard of before. " (from article on "The Welsh Revival")

And " James E. Stewart wrote: It was praying that rent the heavens; praying that received direct answers there and then. The spirit of intercession was so mightily poured out that the whole congregation would take part simultaneously for hours! Worship and adoration abounded. Praise began to mingle with the petitions as answered prayer was demonstrated before their very eyes. Often when unsaved loved ones were the focus of the intercession, they'd be compelled to come to the very meeting and be saved!" (From the same article by Joyner)

"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit." JOHN 3:8 NKJ

The following is quoted from: AMERICA'S GREAT REVIVALS, Dimension Books, Bethany Fellowship, Inc. Minneapolis, MN. "

In August, 1801 - CANE RIDGE was the scene of what many people regard as the most spectacular of the revival meetings of the 1800 revival." "Attendance estimates range from 10,000 to 25,000 people. People of all denominations came. Methodist and Baptist preachers aided in the work and all appeared cordially united in it. They were of one mind and soul; the salvation of sinners was the one object. They all engaged in singing the same songs, all united in prayer, all preached the same things

A feature of the revival in the West - though not in New England were the physical manifestations The "falling" exercise was the most common A person with the "jerks" was also a familiar sight at the camp meetings. Sometimes the head would jerk, back and forth, from side to side; sometimes the whole body Then there were the "rolling exercises" (people would roll over and over like a wheel , the "Dancing exercises " (when the jerking of legs looked like dancing) and "running exercises" ( merely an attempt to run away" from the physical manifestations)." [surmised on the part of the author]

"The most peculiar of all was the "barking exercise". Men went down on all fours and barked until they grew hoarse. Actually the barks were probably "grunts" resulting from the suddenness of the jerks." The author makes the following comment: "Certainly it is clear that Christians afraid of emotion, afraid of revealing their hidden sins, and pride in public, are NOT those whom God will choose to start a revival. Men were the instruments but anytime they tried to strait jacket the revival, they found themselves swept aside."

I remember the first time Tracy and Wes Campbell from Canada and the Arnottes came to the Church at Anaheim. When Tracy spoke a prophecy warning about pride, the intercessors were gripped in the spirit and we all went on our knees, wailing "like banshees". (for the pride in the church we now understand.) Her head whipped back and forth, side-to-side as described by Peter Cartwright (the Methodist revivalist of Cane Ridge renown).

The power of God, the One true God was evident in what was said as she quoted from 1 Corinthians 1 and then gave the prophetic word as God empowered her. This was NOT a bizarre manifestation to me as God had had me reading about revival for the previous few years and I had seen such manifestations described. And when the scriptures say "deep calls unto deep" , that is how I saw the response of the intercessors to the manifest Word of the Lord immediately there was a gripping of merely a few.

The scriptures say, "...Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, - and with mourning. So rend your heart and not your garments ..." This was travail not just our emotions, but God's emotions from the Most Holy Spirit within us and upon us. The "religious " don't like the word travail, because it is something instigated by the Spirit of God, not something you can just do which implies that GOD takes control of us. And thus we come to the real issue with the Toronto revival and all revivals, or refreshings of the past. Men, especially "religious" leaders, like to be in CONTROL.

The idea that God can do anything apart from them is offensive to them, largely due to their lack of healing. They spout "where's the fruit?" I have seen more fruit in my own life and the lives of others since being touched by the "Father's Blessing" as John Arnotte calls it. Hearts changed has been what was needed for the emptiness in the lives of those in the church due to the lack of healing. People in the church have needed MUCH healing, because for so long the church has proclaimed instant healing when they lacked the holiness for the real POWER of God to be made manifest. So God in His infinite MERCY sent such a beautiful revival of His manifest LOVE to heal the church and remove the stench of PRETENSE.

Yet there are those who have held tightly to their pride and pretense and thus have resisted the Most Holy Spirit. And for this He is much grieved; to see His children fighting and arguing and calling what is His presence as "the devil" or a "false anointing", or "counterfeit revival" There is an article on Chad Taylors web page by Tozer about the plowing the fallow ground that is a priceless description of the problem within the church today; history tends to repeat itself. Soon the Spirit is coming in a powerful move of God to remove all the unbelief in the church.

There will be no doubt when the "tsunami" anointing comes to the church. There will be power such as has not been seen since Jesus and the apostles walked the earth, God has said, "The greater things are coming". Thus He has been trying to kill the control-witchcraft in the church and the PRIDE of the Pharisees that is in it, so that we win not be consumed when it comes like Ananias and Sapphira. So many churches, because of the opposition to the Toronto revival, have bowed to the fear of man, rather than bowing to the fear of the Lord.

Look at the difference in Jeremiah's words .....

AS FOR THE PROPHETS, MY HEART IS BROKEN WITHIN ME, ALL MY BONES TREMBLE; I HAVE BECOME LIKE A DRUNKEN MAN, EVEN LIKE A MAN OVERCOME WITH WINE, BECAUSE OF THE LORD AND BECAUSE OF HIS HOLY WORDS. JEREMIAH 23:9 NAS

The power of God is on Jeremiah as he prophesies and he says all my bones tremble and just what does that look like? " I have become like a drunken man ", he says. Again, what does a drunken man look like? I imagine him stumbling, as overcome with wine. I have felt this, even though it may offend some to say it. It feels wonderful and puzzling at the same time. There was another time when Mahesh Chavda spoke on ministering to the poor, when I smelled the scent of the Lord's incense in the room and my knees smote together for about a half hour like Nebuchadnezzer.

Dan 5:6 NKJV Then the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his hips were loosened and his knees knocked against each other.

Once was when the Lord came on me to prophesy over someone in the revival and suddenly as I started to walk away, I was overcome with power, and my knees buckled. When the God of the whole universe touches you, we all respond differently depending on what we need & depending on what we've experienced before, and depending on what God wants to do in us and through us.

When our pride gets in the way and we say, I don't want to look like that - that's embarrassing, or we are so full of fears fear of disclosure, of embarrassment', fear of intimacy, fear of rejection and or fear of man, then of course, the Holy Spirit may not embarrass us. But He knows how much we can stand, and He knows which hearts will turn to HIM and who will respond to His loving correction, or to His wish to make us a sign and a wonder. REMEMBER THAT A GOOD PORTION OF GIDEON'S MEN WERE DISQUALIFIED DUE TO FEAR.

Another issue in responding to the Spirit's touch is that I've noted that those who still have witchcraft, control, or mind-control on them oftentimes do not receive well from the Spirit of God until they are delivered from the generational curses, or spirits of control, BEHIND WHICH IS FEAR & PRIDE. This is not always true, but sometimes applies. How can we receive well when there is such a mixture of spirits in, or on us that we have not repented from, that would interfere with God's work in us? When the strongholds are so entrenched, it would seem the difficulty receiving is greater.

I was one of those people, because even though my mother was a pastor's daughter she rebelled and eventually got into witchcraft. I still had a lot of control on me that I had not recognized, and needed to repent of.

The greatest misunderstanding has been about the roaring even those who have been in the river have difficulty with this "Where is it in the bible?" they say. Well if you look back to the description of the Cane Ridge Revival it was there they called it the "barking exercise", but said it sounded like grunting. So does a roar, only loud. When I asked the Lord after the Holy Spirit manifested in me this way where it was in the bible, He told me to look up lion, Old testament and New testament, and I did. He had said to me while I was doing it, " I AM the lion of Judah I AM the Author of the circle of life." (I had just seen 'Lion King' movie)

Matt. 11:12 says "the kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force."

Look up violent and violence in the Greek one of the meanings is "lion".

Joel says, "the Lord will ROAR out of Zion." Zion is the church symbolically. How would God ROAR out of Zion if not through us who have His Spirit abiding in us ? HE'S SAID IN HIS WORD ... I WILL HAVE A TEMPLE MADE NOT OF BRICK OR MORTAR . WE ARE THE TEMPLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

In John Wesley's journals, He notes that even children roared ...he uses that term.. ROARED! I've noticed in all the roaring it comes with one of three things happening

1) With affirmation of the Word of God (rhema or logos) If I start to read the Word of God out loud l will often eventually manifest roaring it's like God is saying ... My Word is true - I WILL execute it !

Amos 3:8 Amp THE LION HAS ROARED; WHO WILL NOT FEAR? THE LORD GOD HAS SPOKEN, WHO CAN BUT PROPHESY?

2) With impartation: Oftentimes when the revival was going here in here, when I'd pray for someone and God showed me that He wanted to give them more prophetic gifting, as I prayed for the Spirit of revelation to be poured out in them - they would roar. If I would say increase prophetic declaration or prophetic teaching and illumination of scriptures they would start bopping up and down from the waist! Like they were doing half bends.

3) When confronted with demonic powers I manifest especially when confronting them in prayer, or even in the grocery store someone walks by with witchcraft on them or some false religion I have to try to mute my reactions because it was very strong. What I've found however is that the unbelievers are not as shocked as the believers!

People who are prophetic and who have discernment will especially manifest this way (For example:) One Sunday, about a year ago a friend and I went into Santa Ana. She noticed a little grocery store that sold milk and eggs quite a bit cheaper, so we went in and as we were paying at the counter the woman behind it was asked by my friend if she was "OK" and she related she'd been sick for a month and her daughter (about 8-9 yrs old) was there helping her. We talked for a minute and then went out to the car but I couldn't leave without praying for her. The Lord was pulling on my heart.

So we went back in and started to pray for her after asking a few questions re: history of her illness. We found out her ex-husband who is Muslim left the country a month ago to go back home to his family. It was then she started getting sick and as I prayed out loud for this Catholic Mexican - American woman. I could hardly hold back my roar as I came against the Muslim witchcraft over her and the curses of his family which the Lord was showing me coming through their "prayers" and words against her. I looked up and both their heads were bowed she wasn't moving you could tell she was "feeling" the power of God. Afterwards she profusely thanked us and gave me her card and phone number.

Later-the same day we went to K-Mart and as we were walking in there was a woman bowed over holding her abdomen and her husband was calling the ambulance for her on his cell phone. We went over and asked if we could pray. She said yes. She was in a lot of pain and as we prayed, I groaned a bit with the praying but not much manifesting and she freaked out stopped us and said "I'll be alright the ambulance is coming." The unbelief was strong and we said our "God bless you" after finding out she herself was a Christian. The Lord told me later, " Stop trying to convince the Pharisees and go to the LOST !" What an object lesson that was! Since then I've focused more on the lost in obedience to His words and they seem more grateful and thankful and miracles are happening in relationships and in physical healing .

A couple months ago God allowed me the privilege to pray for a young woman in the apartments who I thought would never let me. She was a speed user, and living with her boyfriend. She had two children. They had no insurance, like a lot of us. So when she came in one day to ask for some medicine, I offered to pray and she sat down by me and I laid hands on her ear which was protruding from an infection in her tooth on that side of her head. She now had an ear infection too. She was in a lot of pain so I prayed in the name of Jesus and afterwards she left. I knew God had touched her and expected something wonderful to happen. Maybe three minutes later she came running back to tell me that as she got home the pain in her ear was completely gone. By the next day her throat and mouth had healed and was no longer swollen we got her the name of a dentist who gives free or low cost care to take care of her bad tooth.

Again while I prayed there was some manifesting hey, hey, heys'' in tongues, and she never winced. I'm sure she thought it was weird but I prepare them by saying that when God comes over me, I speak in tongues, and sometimes make weird sounds. Then they aren't totally shocked. Most of those I'm working with are Catholics, so they at least believe in the supernatural. I'm sure some are still skeptical, but God has been answering the prayers. There is no greater testimony ! Some have changed to praying more and accepting discipleship from a woman - that's something in Mexican-Catholic culture ! If God will make even your enemies to be at peace with you how much more your neighbors ? We MUST OVERCOME OUR FEARS IN REACHING OUT TO THE LOST . It is time to take our cities for the Lord.

In the Hebrew text the word for manifest is:

1305 - barar (baw-rar) a primary root; to clarify (i.e.: brighten), examine, select, make bright, choice, chosen, cleanse, (be clean), clearly, polished, (show self) pure(ify), purge (out).

example: I said in mine heart concerning the sons of men, that God might manifest them and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. (NKJ uses "tests" instead of manifest) Ecclesiastes 3:18 KJV

In the GREEK there are a several words used for manifest:

5318 - phaneros; from 5316; shining i.e.; apparent (lit. or fig.); neut. (as adverb) publicly, externally abroad +appear, known, manifest open [+ly] outward[+Iy]

5316 - phaino (fah-ee-no;) prol. for base of 5457; to lighten (shine) i.e. show,

5457 - phos (foce); from an obsolete(phao) to shine or make manifest, esp. by rays; comp. to 5316 & 5346. luminousness (in the widest applies naturally or artificially, abstract or concrete, lit. or fig.): fire, light.

5346 - phimi (fay-mee); prop the same as base of 5457 or 5316; to show or make known one's thoughts.... example: " For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest: neither anything hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." (NKJ says "come to light") Luke 8:17 KJV

5319 - phaneroo (fan-er-o-o;) from 5318; to render apparent (lit. or fig.) :- appear, manifestly declare,(make) manifest (forth), shew (self).

examples: " I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed (made manifest- KJV) to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water. example: For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. Romans 8:19 NKJ

1212 - delos (day-los)- [of uncertain derivation] clear- +bewray; certain, evident, manifest. (make clear) example :For He hath put all things under His feet. But when He saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that He is excepted, which did put all things under Him. 1 Cor 15:2 7KJV

1717- emphanes from a comp. of 1722 and 5316 apparent in self; manifest openly examples: "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. Romans 16:25-26 NKJ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both WILL bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall everyman have praise of God. 1 Corinthians 4:5 KJV For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. 1 Corinthians 11:19 KJV And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed (made manifest in KJV); and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you. (ref. Is 45:14) (5318)

1 Corinthians 14:28 NKJ (re: prophesying in public worship over tongues) Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses (manifests) the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (5319)

2 Cor. 2:14 NKJ.... always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death 'is working in us, but life in you. (5319)

2 Cor. 4:10-12 NKJ Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God, and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. (5319)

2 Cor. 5: 11 KJV Therefore, being conscious of fearing the Lord with respect and reverence, we seek to win people over to persuade them. But what sort of persons we are is plainly recognized and thoroughly understood by God, and I hope that it is plainly recognized and thoroughly understood also by your consciences, that is by your inborn discernment.

2 Cor. 5:11 AMP Even though l am not thoroughly trained in knowledge. But we have been thoroughly made manifest among you in all things. (evident) (5319)

2 Cor. 11:6 NKJ Now the doings of the flesh are clear (manifest in KJV) obvious: they are immorality,impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife ,jealousy, anger, ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit ( factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies); envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like, I warn you, beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Part 3

These are scriptures the Lord gave for the manifesting of the Holy Spirit that has been demonstrated in "renewal." ( I call it "revival"..and when it happens in the lost it is called "Awakening ") It has happened in many children and youth also, that have been ministered to. Their hands get very hot when we pray and they lay hands on each other and pray for each other. They have also felt the fire of the Holy Spirit many times.

Isaiah 2:11 NKJV The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Falling down (Slain in the Spirit)

John 18: 4-6 NKJ Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, "Whom are you seeking?" They answered Him, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I AM He." And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Then , when He said to them " I AM he." they drew back and fell to the ground.

Daniel 9:8-10 NKJ ...therefore I was left alone when I saw this great vision, and no strength remained in me, and I retained no strength. Yet, I heard the sound of his

words. I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground. Then suddenly a

hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.

Jeremiah 23:29 Amp Is not My word like fire [ that consumes all that cannot endure the

test ] ? says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks in pieces the rock [ of most stubborn resistance} ?

On Shaking, and Staggering like a Drunk:

Jeremiah 23:9 NKJ As for the prophets; My heart is broken within me, all my bones tremble; I have become like a drunken man, even like a man overcome with wine, because

of the Lord, and because of His holy words.

Psalm 77: 14-18 Amp. You are the God Who does WONDERS; You have demonstrated Your power among the peoples. You have with Your [mighty] arm redeemed Your people, the sons of Jacob and joseph. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! When the waters [at the Red Sea and the Jordan] saw You, O God, they were afraid; the dep shuddered also, for [all] the waters saw You. The clouds poured down water, the skies sent out a sound [of rumbling thunder]; Your arrows went forth [in forked lightening]. The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightenings illumined the world; the earth trembled and shook.

I raised up some o your sons as prophets, and some of your young men as Nazirites. ' Is it not so, O you children

is weighed down that is full of sheaves. "Therefore flight shall perish from the swift,

the strong shall not strengthen his power, not shall the mighty deliver himself,

nor shall he who rides a horse deliver himself. The most courageous men of might

shall flee naked in that day ", says the Lord.

Ezekial 6:10-11 NKJ " And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would bring this calamity upon them. " thus says the Lord God: POUND YOUR FISTS AND STAMP YOUR FEET AND SAY, "Alas, for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel ! For they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.

Intercessors would sometimes be seen pounding their fists on their lap as they prayed.

ROARING

Proverbs 28:1 NKJ The wicked flee when no one puirsues, but the righteous are

BOLD AS A LION.

Numbers 23:19-24 NKJV God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man,that He should repent, Has He said, and will He not do it ? Or has He not spoken and will He not make

it good? Behold I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot

reverse it. He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, nor has He seen wickedness in Israel.

The Lord God is with him, and the shout of a King is among them. God brings them out of Egypt; he has strength like a wild ox. For there is no sorcery against Jacob, not is there any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob and of Israel, 'Oh, what God has done!' LOOK, a people rises like a lioness. and lifts itself up like a lion: It shall not lie down until it devours the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain." (devouring the prey...meaning this is for deliverance. )

Numbers 24:9 NKJ He bows down, he lies down as a lion: and as a lion. who will rouse him?' "Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you."

Isaiah 5:26-30 NKJ He will lift up a banner to the nations from afar, and will whistle to

them from the end of the earth Their roaring will be like a lion,

They will roar like young lions: Yes, they will roar and lay hold of the prey .

They will carry it away safely, and no one will deliver. In that day, they will roar against them like the roaring of the sea., And if one looks to the land, behold, darkness and sorrow; and the light is darkened by the clouds.

Isaiah 31:4-5 NIV This is what the Lord says to me; "As a lion growls. a great lion

over his prey and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against

him, he is not frightened by their shouts, or disturbed by their clamor so the Lord of Hosts will come down to do battle on Mt. Zion and on its' heights."

Hosea 11:10 AMP They shall walk after the Lord, Who will roar like a lion: He Himself "

will roar and [His] sons shall come trembling and eagerly from the west.

Joel 3:16-17 NKJ The Lord also will ROAR from Zion, and utter His voice from

Jerusalem; The heavens and the earth will shake; but the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. 'So you shall know that I AM the Lord your God, dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will

be holy, and no aliens shall ever pass through her again

Amos 3:7-8 AMP Surely the lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to

His servants the prophets. [Rev.10:7] The lion has roared; who will not fear ? The

Lord God has spoken: who can but PROPHESY ?

Revelation 10:1-3 AMP Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven,

robed in a cloud, with a [halo like a] rainbow over his head ; his face was like the

sun, and his feet [legs] were like columns of fire. He had a little book [scroll] open in

his hand. He set his right foot on the sea, and his let foot on the land, and he shouted

with a loud voice like the roaring of a lion ; and when he shouted, the seen thunders uttered their voice. ( some believe this is a picture of Christ)

On the Holy Warring Spirit of God

Isaiah 42:13-16 NKJ The Lord shall go foth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal

like a man of WAR. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His

enemies. I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself.

Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once. I will lay waste the

mountains and hills; (symbolic for false authorities, despotisms) and dry up the pools

and I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they

have not known, I will make darkness light before them, and not forsake them.

Psalm 149:2-9 NKJ Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful

in their King. Let them praise His name with the DANCE; let them sing praises to

Him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will

beautify the humble with salvation. Let the saints be JOYFUL in glory; let them

sing aloud on their beds. Let the HIGH PRAISES of God be in their mouth. And a

two-edged sword in their hand,To execute vengeance on the nations, and

punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles

with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment, This honor have all the saints.

Zechariah 2:10-13 NKJ My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the

goatherds. For the Lord of Hosts will visit His flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as His royal horse in battle. From Him comes the cornerstone, from Him the tent peg, from Him the battle bow, and from Him every ruler together. They shall fight

because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame. [those

who trust in their own strength] I will strengthen the house of Judah and I will save

the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, because I have mercy on them. They

shall be as though I had not cast them aside; for I am the Lord their God. and I

will hear them. Those of Ephraim (double-blessed) shall be like a mighty man, and

their hearts shall rejoice as if with wine.

Jeremiah 5:14 NKJ Therefore says the Lord God of Hosts: "Because you speak this word,

behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall

devour them."
