LIGHT of the WORLD - Scriptures

I got inspired by a young Chinese pastoress the other night speaking on the Light in the Word. She was pointing out how God divides the light from darkness in our lives, & spoke on the value of worship for entrance into His presence, His light. So I decided to jump into these scriptures to encourage us in this hour, & for also discernment.
Genesis 1:3-5 NKJV Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis 1:16-18 NKJV Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
The thing is there is more than one kind of light. There is the LIGHT that comes down from God, that is His presence, then there is the false light of Satan who comes as an angel of light. And in this hour it is this light, this false light that will be lifted up by the wicked. The “illumined ones” believe in this light, that satanic light which is the false light. I have seen a demon clothed in light, so we cannot just depend on our vision to guide us, but we must KNOW the WORD of GOD enough to discern the good from the bad light. It was said by one of the orchestrators of the N.W.O. that no one will enter the N.W.O. without giving homage and allegiance to satan. This false light goes by many names, imitating our God.

At the same time, the LIGHT WHO is the True Almighty One of Israel will shine His light in His beloveds, and increase His presence & glory illuminating our souls and freeing us from the chains of the enemy, that we can be light to the world and bring in the HARVEST of souls.
Exodus 10:22-23 NKJV So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. 23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
Likewise all who worship the Lord of Glory, Jesus, Our King, will have light in us.
Exodus 13:21-22 NKJV And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
And again in ISAIAH, after it was already done…. We see:
Isaiah 4:4-6 NKJV When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, 5 then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. 6 And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.
Think about this, because this was written 800 years before Christ, but LONG after the exodus. We need to pray this verse !
Exodus 14:19-20 NKJV
19 And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night.
Isn’t that amazing ? Will He not do this again for us in a time when the spirit of Pharoah is revived ?
Esther 8:15-17 NKJV
15 So Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, with a great crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. 16 The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor. 17 And in every province and city, wherever the king's command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday. Then many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them.
May the Lord so fill us with His light and gladness, joy and honor that we reflect His light to the world and cause the fear of the Lord to fall on the lost, that they too would want Jesus.
Job 12:22 NKJV He uncovers deep things out of darkness, And brings the shadow of death to light.
Job 18:5-6 NKJV "The light of the wicked indeed goes out, and the flame of his fire does not shine. 6 The light is dark in his tent, and his lamp beside him is put out.
Job 24:13 NKJV "There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways nor abide in its paths.
And there is nothing but a slippery slope for those.
Job 28:11 NKJV He dams up the streams from trickling; What is hidden he brings forth to light.
These all seem like good prayers…
Job 29:2-4 NKJV "Oh, that I were as in months past, As in the days when God watched over me; 3 When His lamp shone upon my head, And when by His light I walked through darkness; 4 Just as I was in the days of my prime, When the friendly counsel of God was over my tent;
Job 33:29-30 NKJV "Behold, God works all these things, Twice, in fact, three times with a man, 30 To bring back his soul from the Pit, That he may be enlightened with the light of life.
Job 37:21-22 NKJV Even now men cannot look at the light when it is bright in the skies, When the wind has passed and cleared them. 22 He comes from the north as golden splendor; With God is awesome majesty.
Psalms 4:6 NKJV There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?"
Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.
Psalms 18:28-29 NKJV For You will light my lamp; The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. 29 For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall.
Psalms 27:1 NKJV The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalms 36:9 NKJV For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.
Psalms 37:6 NKJV He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
Psalms 43:3 NKJV Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.
Psalms 44:3 NKJV For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword,
Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.
Psalms 89:15-17 NKJV Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance. 16 In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted. 17 For You are the glory of their strength, and in Your favor our horn is exalted.
The Lord inhabits the praises of His people. They know the joyful sound. In His Light
We see LIGHT. We get revelation and impartation of all that He is in His presence, in worship.
Psalms 90:8 NKJV You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.
Just as the point the young Chinese gal made, He separates the darkness from light in us - by shining His LIGHT in us, illuminating the darkness.
Psalms 97:4-5 NKJV His lightnings light the world; The earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Psalms 104:1-2 NKJV Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty, 2 Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.
Psalms 112:4 NKJV Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
Psalms 118:27-28 NKJV God is the Lord, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.
Psalms 119:105 NKJV – NUN- Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalms 119:130 NKJV The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
His WORD also gives light – understanding to us, revelation comes through washing of the Word also. Healing comes and deliverance comes through the washing of the Word.
Psalms 139:11-12 NKJV If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
This reminds me of Corrie Ten Boom quote that says “ There is no pit so deep that HE is not deeper still.”
Psalms 148:3-4 NKJV Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!
4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!
Proverbs 6:23 NKJV For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light;
Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
Proverbs 13:9 NKJV The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked will be put out.
Proverbs 15:30 NKJV The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, And a good report makes the bones healthy.
Proverbs 29:13 NKJV The poor man and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.
Ecclesiastes 2:13 NKJV Then I saw that wisdom excels folly As light excels darkness.
Ecclesiastes 11:7 NKJV Truly the light is sweet, And it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun;
It is also pleasant for our eyes to behold the SON ! In the natural, getting enough sun, can prevent cancer and enhances Vit D.
Isaiah 2:5 NKJV O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the Lord.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
This is certainly a timely verse for this hour for there are many calling good evil and evil is called good. There are those who only pretend to being sons or daughters of light.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Isaiah 9:2 NKJV The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.
Isaiah 30:26 NKJV Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun,
And the light of the sun will be sevenfold, As the light of seven days, In the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound.
Isaiah 42:6 NKJV "I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,
Isaiah 42:16 NKJV I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.
Isaiah 45:7 NKJV I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.'
The Lord here declares His SOVREIGNITY ! He indeed is the one who brings blessings or allows calamity. All is for our growth, for testing, for redemption so that we might be brought forth as GOLD.
Isaiah 50:11 NKJV Look, all you who kindle a fire, Who encircle yourselves with sparks: Walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks you have kindled — This you shall have from My hand: You shall lie down in torment.
Here He is of course talking about WITCHCRAFT - those who make circles of fire. Much torment comes from control/witchcraft. It is God’s judgment on the witchcraft or control. Other times it can be for whom we are suffering…when we stand in the gap for others as intercessors. Colossians 1:24 says in the amplified…
[Even] now I rejoice in the midst of my sufferings on your behalf. And in my own person I am making up whatever is still lacking and remains to be completed [on our part] of Christ's afflictions, for the sake of His body, which is the church.
Isaiah 50:10 NKJV "Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord And rely upon his God.
Isaiah 51:4 NKJV ”Listen to Me, My people; And give ear to Me, O My nation:
For law will proceed from Me, And I will make My justice rest as a light of the peoples.
Isaiah 58:6-8 NKJV "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
This is very self explanatory that if we do these things, then the outcome will be v.8.
Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
This is the most awesome scriptural promise. HIS GLORY WILL BE SEEN UPON US even though the darkness fills the earth as now…even though the people are becoming more lawless. HE WILL ARISE !
Jeremiah 13:16-17 NKJV Give glory to the Lord your God before He causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death And makes it dense darkness.
17 But if you will not hear it, My soul will weep in secret for your pride; My eyes will weep bitterly And run down with tears, because the Lord's flock has been taken captive.
Daniel 2:22 NKJV He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.
Daniel 5:11-12 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father — your father the king — made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. 12 Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation."
Daniel 5:14 NKJV I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.
OH MIGHTY GOD, pour out your light; the Spirit of Understanding, and Wisdom that we may be like Daniel, illuminated with Your glory. That we may be found to be of excellent character – shine Your glory and sanctify us with Your glory Lord !
Hosea 6:5 NKJV Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth; and your judgments are like light that goes forth.
Amos 5:18 NKJV Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light.
Amos 5:20 NKJV Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?
This below is a good prayer when Jezebel has tormented you and attacked you to speak out :
Micah 7:8-10 NKJV Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me. 9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness. 10 Then she who is my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, "Where is the Lord your God?" My eyes will see her; Now she will be trampled down like mud in the streets.
Habakkuk 3:4-6 NKJV His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, and there His power was hidden. 5 Before Him went pestilence,
And fever followed at His feet. 6 He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, The perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting.
Habakkuk 3:11 NKJV The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; At the light of Your arrows they went, At the shining of Your glittering spear.
I think when we can try to picture the above verses it allows HOPE and FAITH to arise in our hearts. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Zephaniah 3:5 NKJV The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness.
Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame.
Zechariah 14:6-7 NKJV It shall come to pass in that day that there will be no light;
The lights will diminish. 7 It shall be one day which is known to the Lord —
Neither day nor night. but at evening time it shall happen that it will be light.
In context, this happens AFTER the LORD comes to fight against the nations.
Matthew 4:16 NKJV The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,
And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned."
Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 6:22-23 NKJV The Lamp of the Body (Luke 11:34-36)
"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
This shows that the light in us CAN be darkness, a FALSE LIGHT. Again there is Light, and there is the false light of satan’s minions. Why does He speak of our eyes being good or bad ? Lust of the eyes, Lust of the Flesh, Pride of life all proceed from our PERCEPTIONS of things, the way we see things, which can be good or bad.
Matthew 10:27 NKJV "Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.
Matthew 17:2-4 NKJV and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
Matthew 24:29-31 NKJV The Coming of the Son of Man (Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:25-28)
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Soon and very soon, we are going to see the KING comes to mind. Praise the Lord !
Mark 4:22-23 NKJV For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.
Mark 13:24-26 NKJV "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
Luke 2:30-32 NKJV For my eyes have seen Your salvation 31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, 32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,
And the glory of Your people Israel."
Luke 8:16-18 NKJV "No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. 18 Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."
Luke 11:33-36 NKJV "No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. 34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light."
When the Lord repeats things, He is giving emphasis.
John 1:4-5 NKJV In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:6-9 NKJV There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
John 3:19-21 NKJV And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."
Have you thought when people avoid you it could be good? It could be that they are convicted in your presence. It could be that the light in you aggravates what has hold of them. The closer to Jesus you become, the lonlier it can get.
John 8:12 NKJV Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
John 9:5 NKJV As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
John 11:9-11 NKJV Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 10 But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him." 11 These things He said, and after that He said to them, "Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up."
John 12:35-36 NKJV Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.
John 12:46-47 NKJV I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
Acts 12:7 NKJV Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell off his hands.
Acts 13:47 NKJV For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.'"
Acts 22:6-9 NKJV "Now it happened, as I journeyed and came near Damascus at about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me. 7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?' 8 So I answered, 'Who are You, Lord?' And He said to me, 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.' 9 "And those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of Him who spoke to me.
Acts 26:17-18 NKJV I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
Acts 26:23 NKJV that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."
Romans 2:19-20 NKJV and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
THIS IS WHO WE ARE TO BE. Too often we think to little of ourselves or too much of ourselves, and fail to have the realistic view of who we are IN HIM.
Romans 13:12-14 NKJV The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Years ago, when first saved, I didn’t know you could APPROPRIATE the ARMOR of LIGHT ! Now I put it on as if clothing myself with the armor.
1 Corinthians 4:5 NKJV Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, Who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God.
2 Corinthians 4:3-6 NKJV But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 6:14-16 NKJV Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
"I will dwell in them and walk among them.
I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 NKJV And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Ephesians 5:8-14 NKJV For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 ( for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Ephesians 5:14 NKJV "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light."
Colossians 1:12-14 NKJV giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
1 Thessalonians 5:5-7 NKJV You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Note He didn’t say to stay asleep or put your head like an ostrich in the dirt and ignore what is happening, but to stay the watch. Lord open the eyes of the blind.
1 Timothy 6:15-16 NKJV which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
2 Timothy 1:10-11 NKJV but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
James 1:17-18 NKJV Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
AMPLIFIED
17 Every good gift and every perfect ( free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. 18 And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by [His] Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself].
1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
2 Peter 1:19-20 NKJV And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
[Revelation 2:26-28 KJV And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star.]
1 John 1:5-7 NKJV This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 2:8-11 NKJV Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Why would John talk about the TRUE LIGHT if there wasn’t a false light ?
We must have discernment, so I pray that everyone reading will get more discernment daily that they would see and understand Truth, and know the true from the false in others.
Revelation 21:10-12 NKJV …and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
Revelation 21:23-25 NKJV The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.
Revelation 22:5 NKJV There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
